Littoral : Regional Councilors Commit To Development

This was during the second ordinary session of the Regional Council of the year, held yesterday August 2, 2022.

Councilors of the Littoral Regional Council on August 2, began holding the second ordinary session of the year. The session that is dedicated to the examination and deliberation on the current budget, will run from the 2-4 of August 2022.
In effect, all councilors have committed themselves to work for the constructive development of the region.
While opening the session yesterday, the President of the Littoral Regional Council, Banlog Polycarpe, said during the first session, a total of FCFA three billion, one hundred and twenty million was adopted, and Feicom loan of FCFA one billion has taken their budget to over FCFA four billion. He said the session will deliberate on how the money will be used. Mr. Banlog made it clear that their budget was just an estimate, but that with the loan from Feicom, they can start working. The president also announced that the CFA one billion from Feicom will be used to construct a regional assembly office, a permanent governor's office, and a new layout for the city of Douala.
He sounded off that 17 projects are already on the way, while adding that work has been halted on some sites due to the rainy season. He said they are also working to ensure effective decentralization....
