Professional Championship : Clubs Seek Solid Squads

In preparation for the upcoming season, the football outfits have resorted to recruitment tests, new signings and tidying up administratively for better results.

The 2022-2023 Elite One championship is billed to begin on October 15, 2022 and some clubs are already strategizing to get squads capable of producing positive results in the competition. These clubs are currently trapped between recruitment tests, new signings and administrative procedures.
As for what concerns recruitment tests, clubs like Union Sportive of Douala and Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda are on the spotlight. The recruitment test process at Union Douala is at high gear with an elaborative programme which according to sources is already attracting multitude of candidates. A communique announcing the recruitment exercise which began on August 16, 2022 states that it will run until Saturday August 20, 2022 at the Camrail  st Eloi stadium. Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda, in a statement circulating on social media announces a special recruitment as from August 23 to 27, 2022 at the Big Mankon School Field. The club says that players selected during this special recruitment will join the main squad when they resume training on September 7, 2022. Some clubs have equally launched recruitment tests to set up youth football teams as requested by the Cameroon Football Federation. This is the case of Colombe Sportive du Sud that has announced a test as from September to recruit young players that will make up their U-15, U-17 and U-20 teams.
Concerning new signings, several clubs are making use of the transfer window amongst which Colombe Sportive du Sud and PWD of Bamenda.
