Association Leaders Told To Be Ambassadors Of Peace

Bafoussam (Mifi)- The indigenous people of Bafoussam and the West region in general have been told to continue to be more flexible towards non-indigents as a means of encouraging, President Paul Biya’s policy of national unity, integration and living together. The appeal was made by Ngono Etene Blaise Brice, Chief of division for economic, social and cultural affairs in the West Governor’s office, while presiding at a peace building conference in Bafoussam on 21 September 2022, organized by the regional delegation of Youth Affairs and Civic Education. The conference was organized to mark this year’s International day of peace. Placed under the theme, “End racism and build peace” the Bafoussam conference grouped leaders of religious, social associations, presidents of nonindigenous groups, mayors and administrative officials and leaders of IDP groups and associations. Closing the conference, Ngono Etene, insisted that intensifying campaign for peace and stability among Cameroonians will end the long road out of the conflicts being experienced in the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon.
