Gynaecological Endoscopy Surgery : Chantal Biya Promises Continuous Support

This was during an audience granted to some experts after five days of intensive discussions on gynaecological pathologies among others.

Eminent surgeons at the just-ended international congress on gynaecological endoscopic surgery in Yaounde have presented the report of their deliberations to the First Lady of Cameroon, Chantal Biya. This was during an audience granted to a 10-member delegation on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the east wing of the Unity Palace.  
Heading the delegation was the President of the African Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (AFSGE), Professor Jean Marie Kasia. Also, prominent among the delegation was the Honorary President of the International Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ISGE), Professor Emeritus, Victor Gomel from Canada, the Medical Director of the ISGE, Professor Bruno Van Herendael from Belgium, the Honorary President of the United States of America Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, Professor Camran Nezhat, Professor Liselotte Mettler, member of the ISGE in Germany, Professor Mboloko from AFSGE in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Professor Asma Korbi, member of ISGE in Tunisia and Professor Amal Drzi, member of ISGE from Algeria. These eminent surgeons were not just meeting the First Lady of Cameroon, but a lady they all know through the works she has done in the field of HIV, fertility problems and endoscopy. 
For close to 45 minutes, Pr. Kasia said the First Lady attentively listened to the experts and at the end, thanked them for what they are doing to improve healthcare for women. She promised her continuous support in what they are doing for the good of humanity.
