Cameroon-Spain Relations : PM, Ambassador Examine Cooperation Ties

This was during an audience on October 5, 2022 at the State building.

Within the framework of intensifying cooperation ties between Cameroon and Spain, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute received the new Spanish Ambassador, Ignacio Garcia Lumbreras on October 5, 2022. Both personalities discussed various areas of cooperation between the two countries, with the Prime Minister presenting various investment opportunities in Cameroon. Having arrived Cameroon in September and following the presentation of his accreditation documents at the Ministry of External Relations, the Spanish diplomat was thus at the Star building to examine cooperation platforms with the Prime Minister. 
In his statement after the audience, the Ambassador, said his maiden visit to the Prime Minister, following his designation as Ambassador to Cameroon, was basically to review cooperation ties with the aim of further strengthening them. “We have touched on the excellent state of relations between Spain and Cameroon. We have a very good cooperation in all the fields. Politically, we are very close countries, we are partners. Culturally, we have a very good cooperation and as you know, there are many Spanish speakers in this country and we had good exchanges. On the economic front, we have a very good volume of trade,” the Ambassador stated, adding that discussions were geared at seeing how these relations can be intensified. “So, this was a visit in which we have basically agreed on the need to keep on improving the excellent relations between our two countries,” Ignacio Garcia Lumbreras stated.
