Burkina Faso-Ghana : Battle For Bronze Medal

Both teams will clash in the classification match of the 2017 AFCON tomorrow February 4, 2017 at Port Gentil.

The Black Stars of Ghana and the Stallions of Burkina Faso play the classification match in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon tomorrow February 4, 2017 at the Port Gentil Stadium in the South East of Gabon. It will be an important football clash between two strong African football nations who will put their best to grab the bronze medal of the biggest soccer event on the continent. Burkina Faso lost to Egypt 3-4 through penalty shoot-outs in the first semi-final game in Libreville on February 1, 2017 while Ghana lost to Cameroon 0-2 in the second semi-final game in Franceville yesterday February 2, 2017.
Burkina Faso registered a 2-O win against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia to reach the quarter-final stage. In the group stage, Burkina Faso finished first in Group A with two draws and one victory. The Stallions have had ten appearances in the AFCON and their best performance was in 2013 when they finished as runners up. They lost to Nigeria 1-0 in the final. Burkina Faso has secured 53rd position in the latest FIFA world ranking.
