Bamenda: Shooting Stars For Victorious Lions

Total effervescence was witnessed throughout the towns last night after the national football team lifted their fifth trophy

 

It was a night characterized by shooting stars by inhabitants that brightened the skies of metropolitan Bamenda that stood solidly by the Lions at their final victory against Egypt at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Gabon. Celebration time went late into the night in the city that harbours several fans of the Indomitable Lions. The city, in addition easily found favour with the Lions team which future their son, brother and star, Fia Collins. It was total festivities in virtually all the neighbourhoods of the town especially around the Mulang Quarter where the parents of Fai Collins live.
Not even the sporadic blackout at some points during the match in certain neighbourhoods could dampen the spirit of supporters who shouted and beat drums each time the Lions made the difference in the course of play.
The joy was for a team that produced goal scorers from the defence, midfield and attack. The city of Bamenda actua...
