CERAC Modernises Government School Bali

The gesture of the First Lady, Chantal Biya, was lauded during a ceremony to hand over the structure in Douala yesterday November 16, 2022.


Vivian Kilo Asheri, Secretary of State to the Minister of Basic Education who represented the First Lady of Cameroon, Chantal Biya, at the handing over of the renovated and equipped Government School Bali in the Douala I Subdivision has called on pupils and kindergartens of the establishment to always keep the structure and campus clean, listened to their teachers, obey their parents and do their course homework.
The representative of the First Lady who led a strong delegation made up of members of the First Lady’s humanitarian organisation, the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC), was speaking during a ceremony to hand over the renovated and equipped nursery and primary school at Bali in Douala on November 16, 2022. The handing over was witnessed by the Minister of Transport, Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, and the Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua.
She said they chose the establishment in order to put smiles on the faces of the 1,008 children of the school, who needed such a befitting structure and equipment for an education that involves disabled children, kids with autism, those with cerebral palsy, as well as children that are blind, dump or deaf. The renovation included building, painting, flooring offices with tiles, roofing, replacing ceiling, electrical works, installation of pipe-born water, construction of toilets, etc. within a structure that is made up of 14 classrooms, 2 offices and 3 toilets.
She expressed satisfaction with the stunning outcome, quality of equipment proffered as she and her collaborators were led through some classrooms.
