Christian Bassogog:Hope For Cameroon

The 21-year-old AaB Alborg striker is poised to bring back Cameroon’s fame in the international scene.

If Cameroon has any player to count on in upcoming major international events it is Christian Bassogog. The young and energetic striker made his country proud in the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon through his great talents in football.
At 21, his performance has won the hearts of many Cameroonian fans. Bassogog was voted the best player of the AFCON 2017 tournament in Gabon. He was named man of the match in the semi-final win over Ghana, rounding off a superb performance with a breakaway goal in stoppage time. Before that Bassogog put in a brilliant performance in the second group game against Guninea-Bissau and the quart-final match against Senegal.
Bassogog, started all six matches for the Indomitable Lions and created havoc with speed, athletic ability and improved touch.
