House Speaker, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril on November 28, 2022 granted an audience to his counterpart of Botswana, Skelemani Phandu.

Strengthening cooperation ties with other African nations came under discussion during an audience the Speaker of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril granted his counterpart of Botswana, Phandu Tombola Chaka Skelemani on November 28, 2022. Skelemani Phandu and his delegation are in Cameroon for the standing committee meeting of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth Africa Region holding from November 25 to 29, 2022 in Yaounde.
In his statement to the press, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Botswana said he exchanged ideas with Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril on how Africans can come together and help each other. “First and foremost, before we can go and have friends outside this continent, we should be able to allow ourselves to freely grow in Africa, stay where we want, make a living and strengthen our cooperation. This is most fundamental. You cannot leave Africa to go and make friends in Europe without first of all being friends with your neighbour.
