Brazil : Top Spot In Sight

Though the Selecao have already booked their spot for the knockout stages, today’s game is still of great importance to them.
Two games, two wins, two clean sheets and three goals scored. Brazil have been far from being the entertainers they once were but they have been very efficient so far in the tournament. Yet to hit top gear in the tournament, they however showed their character and spirit to seal their round of 16 deal by beating Serbia and Switzerland with all their goals coming in the second half. But to Head Coach Tite, the job is half done and the players must keep their focus and concentration in order to beat Cameroon and finish top of the group.
Against Cameroon, the team will be without their star man Neymar who has already been ruled out of the group stages with an ankle problem from the Serbia game while full back Danilo is also expected to sit out the game as he continues to recover from injury.
The feeling within the Brazilian media is that Head Coach Tite will use the game against Cameroon to give minutes to some of his fringe players. One player who has been on the lips of almost every Brazilian fan and the media is Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimares who is yet to make a start in the competition. Highly tipped to replace Neymar in the team against Switzerland, Guimares was once again over looked by Tite who preferred Manchester United midfield...
