Indomitable Lions Commune With Population

The 2017 African champions and the population have opened a new page in their love story following their victorious exploit in Gabon.

It was a hot sunny day in Yaounde, yesterday February 8. From Carrefour Mballa which was the starting point after their reception at the Unity Palace by the Presidential couple, through Carrefour Bastos, Nlongkak Round-about, Omnisport to Kondengui, Ekounou, Mvan, Nsam, Shell Nsimeyong, Rond-point Express, Accacia, Carrefour Biyem-assi, Carrefour Obili, CRADAT, Carrefour EMIA, Carrefour Tsimi, Mokolo Central Post Office etc, the population turned out en masse irrespective of age and social status to hail their heroes. In fact, every other activity was halted in each neighbourhood the caravan passed. School kids, shop keepers, petit traders all came out clapping, singing and even calling names of their favourite players as the Lions passed by. The jeeps carrying the 2017 AFCON heroes were labelled with the names of the players or the technical staff...
