Entertainment : Douala Turning Full Circle

As the end-of-year draws nearer, many entertainment and cultural activities have been on schedule to ensure that the period is festive. Many Douala city dwellers are involved in different activities. Most night clubs and cabaret have programmed new activities so as to keep customers glued.
Douala is renowned for its rich cultural potential such as the “Ngondo” which ended a few weeks ago. The “Ngondo” involves the tribes of the Sawa people who gather on the banks of the Wouri River for the Festival, focus is the traditional ritual performed in the river. Around this ritual there are plenty of entertainment programmed instantaneously such as musical performances, folk dances, wrestling matches, beauty pageants and canoe races on the river. 
Entertainment activities like the “Douala Fiesta” is on Programme also. The official start of Douala Fiesta will take place on December 22 and will run till 2, January 2023. This year’s edition will feature activities in the six Subdivisions of the Wouri Division. The Douala Fiesta promises to generate fireworks as cultural activities from the 10 regions of Cameroon will be displayed.
