Christmas Church Service : Jesus’ Salvation Message Resonates

Christians in Cameroon joined their peers worldwide on December 25, 2022 to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, the master of salvation and whose birth gives meaning to the Christian life. The day was marked by church services in different denominations all over the country. At the Etoug-Ebe Baptist Church in Yaounde, the congregation was told that the Christmas celebration will only make true meaning in their life, if Jesus is truly born in their hearts. The church service was graced with the singing of Christmas carols and the presentation of sketches about the birth of Jesus.
On Christmas morning, Rev. Tanjong Hilarious Akemangwa preached from the biblical book of Luke 2: 21-38 on the title “The Christ of Christmas Gives Salvation.” He began by making reference to the celebrated gospel singer, Aunty Clo, who ones sang that Jesus Christ was born long time ago in Bethlehem and after 2000 years, Christmas is history. According to the artist, Jesus will come again as Lord and King. But Christians do not need to wait till December for Christ can be born in their hearts anytime and they will enjoy merry Christmas every day of the year. Aunty Clo in her song recalls th    at; “Christmas can be in the hearts of all who believe; for when you are born again; your heart is the manger. 
After 2000 years, Rev Tangong said Christmas may be history, but the congregation does not need to wait till December for Christ can be born in their hearts anytime and they will enjoy merry Christmas every day of the year. The preacher took time off to portray Jesus Christ as the anointed one who came with a specific assignment to save. And all who will believe in him will have him in their hearts every day.
