Dr Bassong Pierre Yves : Audacity Of An Aspiring Youngster

The 41-year-old candidate for the post of President of the Cameroon Medical Council is out to revamp the organisation, functioning and governance of the body.

Dr Bassong Pierre Yves is the youngest medical doctor vying for the post of President of the Cameroon Medical Council (CMC). The daring young doctor is a neurologist and a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Bamenda. He is also co-founding member and former president (pioneer) of the Cameroon Doctors Trade Union Association (SYMEC/SCMD). His professional career has taken him to the Yaounde Central Hospital, Fann University Hospital (Dakar/Senegal), University of Franche Comté Besançon and University of Paris 7.
