North West : SOPECAM Bamenda Gets New Boss

Newly-installed Kendemeh Emmanuel Gwani is charged to fly the flag higher in the region.

Kendemeh Emmanuel Gwani with close to 21 years of service has taken command as the new Chief of Agency of the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM) in Bamenda.  He was appointed on December 5, 2022 to the position and was officially commissioned on January 7, 2023 by the Deputy Managing Editor of Cameroon Tribune, Richard Kwang Kometa who represented the SOPECAM General Manager, Marie -Claire Nnana.
The Knight of the Cameroon Order of Merit awarded on exceptional basis by the President of the Republic Paul Biya replaces Choves Christopher Loh who goes on retirement after having served as the Chief of Agency of SOPECAM Bamenda for close to 26 years. Speaking during the official commissioning ceremony, the representative of the General Manager challenged the new Chief of Agency to ensure that the flag of SOPECAM flies ever higher in the region. He told him that the task is huge but the General Manager is confident that he is up to it. Mr.  Kometa reminded Kendemeh Emmanuel that he will not just focus on writing news stories in the various publications of SOPECAM but is equally expected to do administration and market the company’s products. Hence, the new boss has as task to hunt for new subscribers and ensure that SOPECAM products are sold more. He was optimistic that the new Chief of Agency versed with house and more is expected in the days ahead to ensure that publications, sales and subscriptions increase. Mr Kometa congratulated the new boss and challenged him to take up the assignment with courage because he has everything it takes to prove his worth.
