Bamenda Station Hill : Eucalyptus Trees Prevent Deadly Accident

The car owner narrates how he miraculously escaped death.


A man whose names we got as Muzy Humphrey Tanguier cheated death on the night of December 31, 2022 breaking January 1, 2023 when he lost control of his vehicle and nose-dived on the station hill. “I was on my way to Up Station from Nkwen when I noticed an abnormality with my car around the C-bend. No matter how hard I struggled to control it, it bumped into a sideway wall and summersaulted. The car was stopped in its flight by one of the eucalyptus trees planted on the Station Hill,” he said.
Despite the gravity of the accident, Muzy Humphrey who we met as the wreckage of his car was being removed from its perch said, he sustained only minor injuries around the wrist and forehead. He said he was rescued from the vehicle by occupants from a car that was trailing him and taken to the Mbingo annex hospital at the foot of the hill.
