Managing GBV : Government Actors / CSOs Drilled

For three days participants will gain skills on GBV case management procedures.

Some Civil Society Organisations, CSOs and government actors including law enforcement officers from the North West and South West regions have begun a three-day training workshop on Gender Based Violence case management. The workshop which is aimed at Strengthening the capacities of CSOs and State actors on GBV case management to enable increased quality interventions on the field and thus increased access of women and girls to quality services will run from the 10- 12 of January 2023 in Douala.
The workshop comes at a time when GBV cases are on a steady raise in the North West and South West regions due to the ongoing crisis. As a result, the workshop will go a long way to increase the capacities of frontline actors in the basic principles of case management, increase the capacities of the frontline actors in management of GBV cases in line existing standards following the step-by-step strategy, empower the frontline actors on gender responsive service delivery as well as familiarize the actors with the protection against sexual exploitation and abuse.
While opening the workshop the Regional delegate of Women Empowerment and the Family for the South West Madam Ediage Lucia Sona explained that participants will learn some referral pathways to saving the survivors.
