Reconstructing, Developing NW/SW : Stakeholders Harmonise Action Plan

The National Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for the development of the two regions was in Buea to ensure reconstruction activities are not duplicated locally by the Regional Assembly.

The National Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for Reconstruction and Development for the North West and South West Regions (PPRD-NW/SW), Tamanjong Motuba Obase, represented the Prime Minister, Head of Government, in a working session with the South West Regional Assembly on January 12, 2023.   The closed-door working session held at Buea Mountain Hotel and focused on intensifying the level of appropriation of the Presidential Plan, improvement of the synergy of action, and prioritisation of projects within the framework of the PPRD-NW/SW Programme Document (PRODUC) for 2023 planned activities.
In his welcome address, the President of the South West Regional Assembly, Zacheus Bakoma Elango, commended Tamanjong Motuba Obase for his appointment as National Coordinator and his timely visit to ensure that there is no duplication of projects especially when budgets have just been voted. This will “halt the duplication of projects in various communities and will ensure that needs are met appropriately,” Bakoma added.
Instituted on April 3, 2020, the Plan seeks at reconstructing and developing the two regions affected by the ongoing socio-political crisis. “Reconstructing these regions is the government’s priority for the next 10 years.
