North West Reconstruction : Synergising Projects For Better Execution

The Regional Assembly and stakeholders of the Presidential Plan for reconstructing the North West and South West Regions have agreed on joint planning up to execution of projects.

Everything being equal, development will be accelerated in the North West Region this year 2023 as the Regional Assembly and the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions (PPRD-NW/SW) have set up a new paradigm in carrying out projects focused on avoiding duplication and ensuring optimal execution for the benefit of the 34 Subdivisions of the region. The projects are those contained in the three pillars of the Presidential Plan that include: social cohesion, rehabilitation of infrastructure and revitalizing local economy and improving livelihoods.
The maiden visit of the new National Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions, Tamajong Obase Motuba to Bamenda on January 17, 2023 served as an occasion for the structure and North West Regional Assembly to create synergy and define a better way of carrying out projects that fall within the competence of the Plan. After the day-long working session, the President of the North West Regional Assembly, Professor Fru Angwafo III told the press that, “We had an opportunity to work with well-prepared documentation of key projects to be done in each Council of the North West Region.
