National Youth Day Committee : Members Urged To Intensify Preparations

The call was made by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education during the third preparatory meeting in Yaounde yesterday January 25, 2023.

The 57th edition of the Youth Day will be held under the theme: “Youth, moral, civic and entrepreneurial rearmament, a guarantee for discipline in building a united and prosperous Cameroon”. The theme was made public by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, on January 25, 2023 during the third preparatory meeting of this year’s National Youth Day to be celebrated next February 11. During the meeting which took place at the Yaounde Reference Multipurpose Youth Empowerment Centre, in the presence of representatives from other ministries, Minister Mounouna Foutsou said that hierarchy has approved the official launch of events gearing to the Day in Mayo Darlé in the Mayo Banyo Division of the Adamawa Region. 
With the validation of the theme of celebration by the Head of State, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education said it was necessary for the various organising committees to speed up preparations for all activities outlined in the National Harmonised Programme. Before the head of committees presented their level of preparedness, Minister Mounouna Foutsou said the aim of the working session was to ensure the effective implementation of the recommendations of the previous meeting, and to enable everyone to fine-tune preparatory activities for a successful launch of the 2023 “Onzaine Jeunesse”. In the previous meeting, the programme of the “Onzaine Jeunesse” was presented and a draft National Harmonised Programme finalised.
