Enhancing Infrastructure Development : Japan To Organise Conference In March

A delegation was at the Ministry of External Relations on January 25, 2023 to that effect.

Ahead of the maiden edition of the “Quality Infrastructure Conference” to be organised by Japan in Cameroon in the month of March, a delegation of experts was at the Ministry of External Relations to fine-tune preparations. Led by the Director of the Department of International Politics at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, Takahiro Arai, they had a working session with the Secretary General of the Ministry, Chinmoun Oumarou on January 25, 2023. The latter was receiving the delegation on behalf of the Minister Mbella Mbella. The conference to be organised in March will serve as a platform of experience and technology sharing in the domain of improving infrastructure. 
The head of delegation said the decision to organise the conference in Cameroon was arrived at after several consultations. He said the conference will be solution oriented. “We are mainly focusing on the infrastructure sector because our ministry is covering that sector. So, we will like to know about that the real demand and needs from the Cameroon side and then we can present our technology solutions from the Japanese companies that will be present at the conference,” he stated.
