Cameroonian Volleyball Federation : One Seat, Two Presidents

Serge Abouem was re-elected President in an elective GA on February 4. Meanwhile, some statutory members of the 2013 GA had earlier voted Bello Bourdanne at the helm of the body.

The ongoing electoral conflict at the Cameroonian Volleyball Federation has hit high gear. As it stands now, there are two Presidents at the helm of the federation. The first was elected on January 20, 2023 by some statutory members of the 2013 General Assembly and on Saturday February 4, 2023, another elective General Assembly (GA) was organised in accordance with the 2018 texts of the federation which saw Julien Serge Abouem re-elected to the post of President.
During Saturday’s GA, Julien Serge Abouem that had been at the head of the federation since 2013 got 100 per cent votes alongside his entire executive bureau. Amongst the several members of his bureau are the Vice President in charge of Development, Pius Tachang, Vice President in charge of Marketing and Sponsoring, Nathalie Ngo Mbong, Vice President in charge of Control and Audit, Mahamat Zake, Secretary General, Yvette Moukoury, amongst others.
