March 12 Senatorial Poll : ELECAM Publishes List Of Electors

This is in accordance with Section 224(3) of the Electoral Code.

Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) has published the list of Senatorial electors ahead of the March 12, 2023 election day. The published list counts a total of 11,138 electors comprising 10,271 Municipal Councillors and 844 Regional Councillors. They will cast their votes across 198 polling stations nationwide. Published by the Director General of Elections, Dr Erik Essousse, the action is in accordance with Section 224 (3) of the Electoral Code which states that the updated list of senatorial electors shall be published at least 30 days before the voting date and may be copied or notified to any person on request. The announcement on the publication of the said list was made by the Director General of Elections in a communique published in Cameroon Tribune on Monday, February 13, 2023. Senatorial electors who are Regional Councillors and Municipal Councillors, can hence consult the list at the Divisional Branches and Council Branches of Elections Cameroon as well as on the website of the institution (www.elecam.cm). 
The publication of the list comes after a series of other actions highlighted by the Electoral Code. It is a very important stage in the electoral process as it makes known the electoral database.
