Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor : Inspirational Gentleman

At 40, he symbolises a youth who stands out in the history of politics in Cameroon.

The general myth of politics being for older people is defiled when one looks at the political interest of today’s younger generation, taking the example of Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor. He is a card-carrying member of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) and a member of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism, since 2017. He is a known-youth representative and was the President of the CPDM reorganising committee for Mezam IV, North West Region in 2021. Already classified as an elite of the region, the 40-year-old Jean Marc actively participates in rallies and party groupings in the North West. 
Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor, former President of the Cameroon National Youth Council, explains that he joined the CPDM in support of the ideologies of its National Chairman which are in line with his. He further states that some of the shared philosophies can be read in the “Communal Liberalism” book of President Paul Biya.
