French Elite Volleyball Championships : Five Cameroonians Sail To Playoffs

Their clubs booked their tickets to this prestigious phase of the championship recently.

Cameroonian volleyball players plying their trade in France are actually flying the flag of the country high. Some five of them recently picked their tickets for the playoffs of the 2022-2023 French Elite Championships billed for March 2023. They contributed greatly to their club’s progress to this stage of the competition which brings together the best eight clubs in both the women’s and men’s categories. 
In the women’s category, even though Istres Provence Volley of Emelda Zessi and Estelle Adiana lost 1 set to 3 to the Mougins in the 14th and last playing day of the competition, the club had already earlier booked their place in the playoffs. Despite the defeat, they finished first in Group B with 33 points (12 matches won and two lost). This performance is no doubt laudable and the efforts of the Cameroonian duo cannot be undermined. Istres is four points better than Tof retired Cameroonian international Stéphanie Fotso. Harnes is third in Group B and equally candidate for the playoffs.
