Regional Supervisory Commission : Political Parties Begin Designating Representatives

Elections Cameroon will, at the end of the exercise, publish its resolutions at its regional delegations and at the Constitutional Council.

Political parties whose lists of candidates have been accepted by the Electoral Board of Elections Cameroon in view of the March 12, 2023 Senatorial election have begun appointing representatives for the Regional Supervisory Commissions and the National Commission for the Final Counting of Votes. This follows a public announcement by the Chairperson of the Electoral Board, Dr. Enow Abrams Egbe on February 13, 2023 inviting political parties to forward the appointment decisions to the Electoral Board within the shortest time possible in order to establish the composition of the said commissions. The exercise is in accordance with Sections 235 and 238 of the Electoral Code and makes the electoral process more inclusive and credible. As a result, the ten different political parties who will be participating in the election have started forwarding designated representatives for the above-mentioned commissions. The resolutions of the Electoral Board containing the names of the various representatives of all political parties participating shall be made available at regional delegations of ELECAM and at the Constitutional Council, where they can be consulted by any elector....
