Gabriel Dodo Ndoke : Deceased Minister Decorated Commander

He was raised to the rank posthumously on February 18, 2023 through a medal awarded him by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, on behalf of the President of the Republic.

The late Minister of Mines, Industries and Technological Development, Gabriel Dodo Ndoke who passed away on January 21, 2023 in Yaounde has been posthumously decorated by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute. He was posthumously awarded the medal of Commander of the National Order of Valour on February 18, 2023 in Batouri, East Region in the course of an official funeral decreed in his honour by the President of the Republic on February 14, 2023.  The Prime Minister equally laid the wreath of the Presidential couple. The official funeral was characterised by an inter-religious prayer and the reading of tributes. The inter-religious prayer was coordinated by the Bishop of the Batouri Dioceses, His Lordship Marcellin-Marie Ndabnyemb who prayed for the peaceful rest of the soul of the deceased.
The Head of State’s condolence message to the wife of the deceased Minister was read by the Divisional Officer of Kadey, Djadai Yacouba. The message which extended the condolences of the President and wife said the death of the Minister was a great loss to the Division, Region and Cameroon. The Head of State in the message noted that he learned with great grief, the passing away of the Minister whom he said was in charge of managing an important ministry for the emergence of Cameroon by 2035. 
A total of eight eulogies were read at the official funeral event and another condolence message from the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), Jean Nkuete, the political party which the late Minister belonged. 
Speaking on behalf of the staff of the Ministry of Mines, Industries and Technological Development, the Secretary of State, Fuh Calistus Gentry who doubled as President of the Organising Committee of the official funeral, described the last moments he shared with the Minister before his unfortunate death. “He was a man of peace, result-oriented, reserved and listened to everybody. He was a loyal person,” the Secretary of State noted.
