Guinness Super League : Positive Air On Canon

The Yaounde-based outfit that had been declared general forfeiture, has been reinstated by FECAFOOT’s Appeals Commission, as per a communique from the club.

Supporters of Canon FF of Yaounde as well as players that have been plunged in despair since the start of the third edition of the Guinness Super League due to factions in the club, have reasons to hope. In effect, a February 17, 2023 communique from the club reveals that the verdict of the Appeals Commission of the Cameroon Football Federation had ruled in favour of the Yaounde-based football outfit. It should be recalled that, the club, according to the rules of the championship, was declared general forfeiture after losing the first two matches against Eding Filles and Ngadeu FF by forfeiture. Following this decision, the club under President Noah Soter then filed an appeal to the Appeals Commission of the Federation and it is the verdict that was announced in the February 17, 2023 communique. According to the communique, the decisions concerning the Eding Sport-Canon Sportif of Yaounde and Ngadeu cases for failure to present licenses has been annulled.
