Social Inclusion : Coherent, Effective Actions To Intensify

The Minister of Social Affairs made the disclosure as she received new-year wishes from her collaborators on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

The Minister of Social Affairs, Pauline Iréne Nguene has called on her collaborators to intensify social inclusion actions in favour of internally-displaced persons, people with disabilities, children in distress, marginalised populations, the destitute and needy, and any other person or group in a vulnerable situation. She made the call on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 in Yaounde as she received New Year wishes from her collaborators and partners in the social affairs field.
Pauline Iréne Nguene said, “We must do more to combat all forms of discrimination, stigmatisation and weakening of vulnerable people, through coherent and effective activities and projects in all development sectors.” Within this backdrop, the Minster said certain large-scale projects in her ministerial department should be given a decisive boost this year for its full success. She reiterated that the establishment of the Unified Social Register of Cameroon (RESUC) will have to enter an operational phase in a bid to constitute a database of individuals eligible for social protection benefits in the country.
