Blood Donation : Ex-Sakerettes Join Bandwagon In Yaounde

Members of the Yaounde chapter of ex- student of Saker Baptist College in Limbe have donated their blood in a social act.

The monthly statutory meeting of the Yaounde chapter Ex-Saker Students Association dubbed ExSSA, was coloured with blood donation on Sunday March 19, 2023. Unlike the usual singing, dancing and dining, which characterize meeting hours, the ladies unusually spiced the day with a blood drive to save humanity. 
In love, unity and sisterhood, the ladies welcomed the blood collection team from the National Blood Transfusion Service and the Yaounde Military Hospital, and some carried out the altruistic act of donating their blood. This took place in the presence of the General Manager of the National Blood Transfusion Service, Professor Dora Mbanya, who is also a member of ExSSA Yaounde. She expressed gratitude to the President of ExSSA Yaounde, Dorothy Forbin for encouraging members of the association to donate their blood and for equally promoting the indispensible outreach activity. 
Prof. Dora Mbanya said the blood drive during the ExSSA Yaounde chapter meeting was a prolongation of activities honouring the International Women’s Day. “We are still in the month of March and ExSSA is a women’s association. By God's special grace, women give life through childbearing, and we can contribute to sustaining it through blood donation, or encouraging others who can donate", Prof Dora Mbanya explained. She added that every healthy Cameroonian is encouraged to become a blood donor, not just a one-time donor, but a regular one.
