Cameroon-United Nations Relations : Cooperation Framework Examined

This was during an audience External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella, granted the UN Resident Coordinator, Matthias Zana Naab on March 31, 2023.

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella in an audience with the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Systems in Cameroon, Matthias Zana Naab, reviewed the status of the implementation of cooperation framework between both parties. The said cooperation framework is aligned with the National Development Strategy (NDS2030) of Cameroon. 
Describing the meeting with the Minister as excellent, the UN official said it was also an opportunity for him to present the UN’s action plan for 2023. “We had a successful UN country team retreat in February where the government participated actually. We had a whole day with government to look at what the UN has planned for 2023. I used the opportunity to also discuss the status of the implementation of our cooperation framework. Our cooperation framework is aligned to the National Development Strategy (NDS2030),” he told reporters. Dr Matthias Naab added that he also briefed the Minister on all development result groups put in place and to the extent how the government sector ministries are playing an active role in these development result groups. 
Another topic discussed by the two parties during the audience is mobilising partnerships for the Multisectoral Committee; a joint initiative that envisages inclusive development.
