MTN Elite One : The Final Bend !

The last three days are decisive as some clubs are struggling hard to move to the playoffs while others gear up to secure their stay in the First Division championship.

The 2022-2023 MTN Elite One season is drawing to an end. With three days left to go, the battle is tough and the pressure is high. It can rightly be said that it is the last fight for all the teams. It is a decisive moment as each team is struggling hard to secure their stay in the superior league as well as guarantee their spots for the play offs. According to the rules of the two-group competition, four teams; the first two teams in each group moves to the playoffs. At the bottom, five teams will be relegated to the second division. Concretely; the bottom two teams in each group drops directly meanwhile, the third to the last-placed clubs in each group will play a play down game to determine the fifth team that drops to the Elite Two League. 
Since the 19th playing day, the teams are on a two-week recess. The break period runs from Sunday April 2 to April 15, 2023. During this recess period, the teams will be going back to the drawing boards to correct errors and ensure the best results. It is also time to catch up with delayed matches before the last three playing days. 
The battle for tickets for the playoffs appears stiff. UMS of Loum and Canon of Yaounde are better placed in group A. However, third and fourth placed Stade Renard and Coton Sport of Garoua still have their chances.
