End Of Course Certificate Examinations : South West Ready

Education stakeholders were urged to ensure a smooth conduct of the examinations and work for the publication of results on time.


Education stakeholders in the South West have in the South West Secondary Second Sector Conference for 2022/2023 academic year indicated that their candidates are ready for end of course certificate examinations organised by the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board and Office Du Bac du Cameroon. The get together in Limbe on Wednesday May 24, 2023 had principals of government, mission and lay private schools. In attendance were also all the six Secondary Education Divisional Delegates and different Regional Pedagogy Inspectors. It was chaired by Acha Gilbert, Permanent Secretary at the South West Governor’s Office who sat in for his boss. He thanked the teachers for the sacrifices they have made in dishing out knowledge to learners in an environment where schooling is gradually gaining ground.
Dr. Mbua Hannah Etonde, South West Regional Delegate for Secondary Education, indicated that they have prepared their students well for the examinations and are expecting success. She called on her collaborators to work in collaboration with administrative and security officials for the success of the 2023 session of end of course examinations in the region. That they should double their effort and continue to work as a team to fight against all forms of fraud and examination malpractices among others. They should equally work towards the publication of results without delay. 
A total of 257 schools out of 424 in the South West Regional were functional this school year. Of this number, 121 were public schools, 88 lay private and 48 mission schools. There are 3314 candidates who registered for BE...
