U-23 AFCON : Cameroon Serenely Fine-tuning Skills

After the confirmation of their participation in this competition, the team bracing up at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo is expected to play a friendly today.

The U-23 Lions of Cameroon are bracing up ahead of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations with cold heads. This is after the Organisation Commission of Youth Competitions at the Confederation of African Football announced recently that Cameroon shall replace Gabon in the competition. It should be recalled that, the Disciplinary Commission of the Confederation had disqualified Gabon for administrative errors in inputting the information of one of their players; Floriss Djave and said they were sending the decision to the organising commission for Gabon to be replaced. When the verdict finally came out officially replacing Gabon with Cameroon in the competition, it attracted wide spread joy in the land of the Lions.
Now, what is left is for the U-23 Lions to adequately prepare for the competition which runs from June 24 to 8 July 2023 in Morocco with the objective of proving to the continent that they deserved their place. Reason why they are taking their preparatory camp at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo very seriously.
