Int’l Cycling Tour of Cameroon : Take Off Tomorrow

The 2023 edition of the race which begins this June 3, 2023 with the first lap, Figuil-Garoua will see nine teams from Africa and Europe battle for victory in eight laps.

One of the most important rendez-vous of the Cameroon Cycling Federation which is the International Cycling Tour of Cameroon begins tomorrow June 3, 2023 with the first lap between Figuil-Garoua. The race which is at its 19th edition will see nine teams from Africa and Europe paddle through eight laps in a total distance of 963.9km with a day set aside for the transfer of materials. 
The teams will be presented in an official ceremony today June 2, 2023 at the Roumde Adja Party Square in Garoua. According to the programme, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi is expected to chair the solemn gathering.
Cameroon is being represented in the competition by 10 cyclists from both the Cameroon National Team and SNH Velo Club. The presence of the likes of Clovis Kamzong Abossolo, Artuce Tella, amongst others springs hopes for Cameroon. The Cameroonian athletes have the advantage of mastering the roads of the country and should therefore use it wisely as they compete with the other foreign teams for the most coveted Yellow Jersey.
