Pouma-Kribi : Third Lap Today

After the day set aside for the transfer of teams and delegations from Garoua to Yaounde yesterday, the riders will be paddling the 150.6 km third stage this June 6, 2023.

The International Cycling Tour of Cameroon steps into the third lap today June 6, 2023 from Pouma to Kribi. The 150.6 km stage follows the first two laps in the North Region of the country both won by Hamza Yacine from Algeria. Yesterday June 5, 2023 was set aside for the transfer of teams and delegations from Garoua to Yaounde.
According to the Tour’s Road Booklet, delegations are expected to assemble at the 20th May Boulevard in Yaounde today morning before taking off for Pouma where the kicker of the third lap will be given at “Petit Marché Pouma. Kick-off is announced at 12 noon while the arrival billed for Hotel Panoramique is announced at about 3:40 p.m. During the close to four- hour race from Pouma passing through Edea before getting to Kribi, Algeria’s Hamza Yacine who wears the yellow jersey will be struggling to maintain his lead and keep his team on the spotlight. The other riders will be ridding hard with the objective of bettering their positions on the general classification and why not emerge winner of the stage.
This far in the competition, Cameroonian athletes taking part in the race are gradually climbing the ladder. As per the general classification, Michel Boris Tientcheu of the Cameroon National Team occupies the third position.
