Cameroon-Spain :Cooperation Ties Reviewed

Strengthening bilateral relations between Cameroon and the Kingdom of Spain have been discussed at the Ministry of External Relations. This was during an audience the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations, Felix Mbayu, granted to the Ambassador to Spain to Cameroon, Ignacio Garcia Lumbreras on June 7, 2023. 
In his statement to reporters after the close to an hour audience, the Spanish diplomat said they talked about bilateral relations between the two countries with prospects of expanding them to other domains. “As you know, there have been some visits by officials of Cameron and Spain this year. Minister Mbayu went to Spain in the month of January 2023 and his counterpart came here in March 2023. So we wanted to see how to intensify our cooperation ties,” he stated. He added that there are several Spanish projects in Cameroon, especially in the economic sector. “There are several Spanish firms which are interested in the infrastructure sector in Cameroon as well as the energy sector. I was briefing the Minister how these projects are going,” he explained.
