South West : Authorities Note Progressive Return To Normalcy

Governor Okalia Bilai made the declaration after the 2023 first semester Regional Security and Administrative Coordination Meeting which held in Tombel.

The administration of South West Region has taken the temperature of activities in the region and declared that calm is gradually returning as the population yawn for peace. This was in the 2023 first semester regional security and coordination meeting which held at the Tombel Council Hall on June 12, 2023. The meeting was chaired by Barnard Okalia Bilai, South West Governor and it assembled all the six Senior Divisional Officers, heads of defense and security forces, South West Regional Delegates among others. 
South West Regional Delegates for MINEPAT, MINADER, MINCOMMERCE, MINT, MINEE, MINEPIA, chief for sector for customs and Director of Limbe Ports made presentations on their different sectors. In the in-camera session, they highlighted the economic impact of activities under their various institutions and how they are contributing to the development of the South West Region and the nation as a whole. Heads of security and defense forces beginning with Colonel Onambele Louis – Commandant of 21st Motorise Infantry Brigade, Colonel Kola – Commandant of South West Gendarmerie Legion and Police Commissioner Jean Marie Ndieh Ngah – South West Regional Delegate for National Security in their different exposes explained how their elements are working in collaboration with the population for a complete return to normalcy in the South West Region. 
Okalia Bilia called on his six SDOs to take necessary steps to stop hate speech which is raising of late and can jeopardize the policy of living together and national integration.
