West Region : Administrative, Security Coordination Meeting Holds

Governor Awa Fonka used the occasion to thank the various stakeholders, for ensuring a harmonious atmosphere for, peace, security and stability in the region.

Governor Awa Fonka Augustine, has praised the joint efforts of the administration, forces of law and order, traditional authorities in the during the first semester of the 2023. He condemned certain incursions carried out by separatist terrorists in parts of the West region that resulted to loss of life. He also thanked the various heads of administrative units who gave their support to the forces of law and order, to build the West region of their needed dream for peace and security noticed so far.
Governor Awa Fonka was speaking in Bafoussam on, June 12 ,2023, while presiding over the first semester regional administrative and security coordination meeting, aimed at evaluating the socio-economic, and political activities in the region during the first quarter of 2023, and seek   better opportunities to accelerate development process in the region.  The meeting grouped all SDOs of the region, all stake holders involved in development process, traditional rulers, regional delegates etc.
On the socio-political sphere, Governor Awa Fonka, said political activities were relatively encouraging, with the smooth organization of the Senatorial elections, that saw the re-election of Marcel Niat Njifenji as President of the Senate for the 3rdmandate, and Ngouchinghe Sylvestre elected Secretary in the Senate. For the administrative set up, Governor Awa Fonka congratulated the forces of law and order promoted into higher ranks, new SDOs appointed in the region. On the social ills, he condemned the practice of hate speech, trabalistic tendencies witnessed within certain ranks of Cameroonians, xenophobic behaviors, and called on all Cameroonians to demonstrate the habit living togethe...
