Bilingualism, Multiculturalism Commission : Appointed Staff Installed

They were commissioned into their functions on June 16, 2023 by the Secretary General of the institution.

Staff of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism that were appointed by the Chairperson, Peter Mafany Musonge on February 16, 2023 following a resolution adopted during a session of the Commission on December 16, 2022 and approved by the President of the Republic have been installed. They were commissioned on June 16, 2023 by the Secretary General of the institution, Dr Chi Asafor Cornelius.
Installing the officials, the Secretary General made them understand that an appointment is not an end to itself, but a call to serve more diligently. “You are aware of the confidence that the Commission's hierarchy has placed in you. Know that this is an exhortation to more responsibility, that is to say more work, more hours at the office, more respect for established rules, more respect for the hierarchy and above all to greater loyalty to the institution. Your subordinates are not your employees, but facilitators who help you on a daily basis to achieve the objectives set by the Commission,” he stated. Dr. Chi Asafor added that those who are not up to task in their positions will be replaced by a more deserving person, and therefore, everybody should work at meeting the objectives of the institution.  With the Commission placed under the authority of the President of the Republic, the Secretary General said its staff recruited to carry out the missions assigned by the Head of State are expected to have certain competences. He said it is in that respect that those appointed have an assured degree of professional confidence from the hierarchy, persons whom he said have undergone varied trainings in the past five years to prepare them for the said post of responsibility.
