National Rehabilitation Centre : Patients Receive Gifts of Love, Hope

This was during an outreach programme organised by the Yaounde Chapter of the Ex-Saker Baptist College students on Saturday July 1, 2023 in Yaounde.


Persons with disabilities receiving treatment at the Cardinal Paul Emile Leger National Centre for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (CNRPH) in Yaounde have been told to have hope in God although being in a situation which seems hopeless. This was a message brought forth by members of the Yaounde Chapter of ex-students of Saker Baptist College in Limbe dubbed ExSSA, during an outreach event to donate basic necessities to the centre on Saturday July 1, 2023. The event, which was chaired by the Deputy General Manager of the CNRPH, Douglas Achingale was a moment of joy and appreciation from the beneficiaries. Douglas Achingale said it was a memorable day for the patients and staff of the Centre, especially as they are faced with children who are abandoned by their families due to their conditions. Just like “Oliver Twist”, Mr Achingale is hoping for more material support from ExSSA Yaounde. 
The Spiritual Leader of ExSSA Yaounde, Elsie Tanyi during a devotional session told the patients that they may be found in a place without hope, isolated, rejected due to their problems and labelled as an object of shame, but should never give up because the bible says God knows their condition and is ready to do something.
