African Achievers Award : Prof. Victor Mbarika Conferred Distinction

The Cameroonian-born scholar was distinguished on July 14, 2023 in London for excellence in leadership.

Cameroonian-born philanthropist and Founder of the ICT University in Yaounde, Prof. Victor Mbarika has been conferred the African Achievers Award. He was presented the distinction on July 14, 2023 during the 13th edition of the award in a ceremony at the British House of Lords in London, United Kingdom. This was in the presence of Lord Simon Wooley, Member of the UK Parliament. 
Awarded for excellence in leadership, the distinction, Cameroon Tribune learnt, came on the recommendation of the Advisory Board and under authorisation granted by the Board of Trustees of the African Achievers Award. The award is thus an annual practice for the last 13 years that celebrates African excellence by recognising and honouring individuals and organisations in Africa that contribute immensely to the growth and development of the continent in various sectors.     The award to Prof. Victor Mbarika is therefore in recognition to his leadership in academic excellence, especially in the promotion of information and communication technologies in the education and research domains.
