South West Mobilises To Receive Africa Cup

The region is bracing up to receive the trophy today Friday 24 February, 2017.

High level preparations are underway since February 20, 2017 when Governor Bernard Okalia Bilai launched the activities, chairing a meeting at which the various Divisional Officers, Mayors, Sports and Physical Education officials attended. The meeting called on the population of the South West Region to give the Lions and the Cup a heroic welcome.
The caravan bearing the Lions and the Cup and led by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Bidoung Mkpatt shall be received after crossing the Mungo by the South West Governor on the morning of Friday. He will be accompanied by his close collaborators and the Divisional Officer for Tiko Subdivision.
On arrival, the Cup will be exhibited at the Tiko Council yard after a tour of the town.
