15th BRICS Summit : Redefining Geopolitics, Humanities

Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute is representing President Paul Biya at deliberations that end tomorrow.

Over sixty leaders, heads of Government and representatives of international organisations are meeting at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa within the framework of the 15th BRICS Summit. Deliberations are holding under the theme, “BRICS and Africa: Partnership for Mutually Accelerated Growth, Sustainable Development and Inclusive Multilateralism,” with the host President, Cyril Ramaphosa chairing the opening ceremony that held yesterday August 22, 2023. 
Amongst the dignitaries participating at the Summit is Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, representing the President of the Republic at the deliberations.  The Prime Minister who has held bilateral meetings since his arrival in South Africa said Cameroon approaches the summit with an open mind, keen on capturing ideas which can contribute to the sustainable development of the economy. Accompanied by the Ministers of External Relations, Mbella Mbella and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Paul Tasong, amongst others, the Prime Minister equally notes that Cameroon’s participation at the Summit will broaden its ideas on the implementation of the National Development Strategy 2030. Tomorrow, August 24, 2023, the Prime Minister, Head of Government will present Cameroon’s view points on varying issues currently under examination at the Summit. 
Welcoming his peers, Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa said this 15th BRICS summit will play a significant step in reshaping the geopolitical and economic flow in the world.
