Electoral Processes In Embassies : Diplomatic Support Appreciated

The Chairperson of the Electoral Board was at the Ministry of External Relations on September 20 to express gratitude for the institution’s support in organising successful elections overseas.

Elections are a standard process for democratically choosing a leader. Citizens of voting age participate in this electoral process given that it is their civic responsibility. Electoral operations unfold within the national territory and in diplomatic representations of Cameroon in other countries. The Ministry of External Relations, in her capacity as Cameroon’s diplomatic supervisory authority, facilitates these electoral operations outside Cameroon. It is therefore against this backdrop that the Chairperson of the Electoral Board of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), Dr. Enow Abrams Egbe was at the Ministry of External Relations to express its gratitude for the support from the Ministry. He was granted an audience by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu. Accompanied by some members of the Electoral Board and staff of ELECAM, the personalities reviewed past electoral operations and projected into next elections.
