Obituary : GCE Board Registrar Journeys Beyond

Dang Akuh Dominic September 25, 2023 died yesterday at the Mount Mary Hospital in Buea after a brief illness.
It started like a prank on social media about 2:30 pm on Monday September 25, 2023 and turned out to be true. Dang Akuh Dominic, Registrar of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board (CGCE) is no more. He died at the Mount Mary Hospital Buea yesterday.
A CGCE Board staff who did not want to be named told Cameroon Tribune on phone that their boss was in the office yesterday morning. He later on went to the hospital by himself before the tragedy started making waves on the social media. The cause of his demise has not yet been disclosed to the press.
Dang Akuh Dominic is the fourth Registrar of the Cameroon GCE Board since the institution whose headquarter is in Buea was created in 1993. He was appointed Registrar by a Prime Ministerial Decree on January 31, 2018 and took over from Humphrey Ekema Monono who managed the institution since 2006.
