Cameroon-UN Evaluate Security Efforts

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of the Islamic World and the UN Assistant Secretary General in charge of Security on February 24, 2017, held talks in Yaounde.

Security concerns were at the centre of discussions between Cameroon’s Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of the Islamic World, Adoum Gargoum and the United Nations (UN) Under- Secretary-General for Safety and Security, Peter Thomas Drennan. The two officials met during an audience in Yaounde on February 24, 2017, during which they evaluated security efforts of Cameroon and the UN globally.
The Australian-born UN official told reporters shortly after his meeting with the Minister Delegate that their discussions centred on global security challenges and significant contributions Cameroon makes with regards to providing support to the United Nations as well as its humanitarian assistance to refugees.
