Diplomacy : Thailand Ambassador Presents Credentials

Kittisak Klomchit handed the advance copies of his lettres of credence to Minister Felix Mbayu on October 4, 2023.

The newly designated Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Cameroon, with residence in Abuja, Kittisak Klomchit has handed the advance copies of his lettres of credence to the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu. This was during an audience the latter granted the former on October 4, 2023. The diplomat hence has the responsibility of fostering diplomatic ties and broadening spheres of cooperation between the two countries. 
Kittisak Klomchit, born on May 1, 1964, has a Masters of Arts degree in International Relations, obtained from the International University of Japan. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1988 as Attaché at the Communications, Science and Technology Department. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador, he was the Director at the General Affairs Division, Office of the Permanent Secretary, a position he occupied since 2014. The Thais diplomat has occupied several posts of responsibility, serving the Thai Kingdom, home and abroad. Between 2011 and 2014, he was Minister-Counsellor, Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, Laos. Kittisak Klomchit was Counsellor for one year (2011) at the same diplomatic representation, before being promoted to Minister-Counsellor. Still in Laos, the now Ambassador of Thailand to Cameroon served as Consul at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Savannakhet.
