Certification : Minister Inspects Douala International Airport

The visit took place on October 4, to prepare an audit mission of the International organization of civil aviation.

Following the audit mission of the International organization of civil aviation to international Airports in Cameroon to run from the 9- 18 of October, the minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, was at the Douala international Airport on October 4 for an inspection and evaluation visit. 
The visit, that took the minister to the different sections of the airport, was a veritable moment for him to get first information on the situation of security and other aspects. The audit mission of the International organization of civil aviation will give way for the Certification of International Airports in Cameroon if they would meet up with standard. While at the Douala international airport, the minister made several stops and at each stop the different heads explained the functionality of their department and what they do as far as security is concerned.
During the working session that crowned the visit, it came to the limelight that security was tight and access is not granted to the tarmac. It also came out of the meeting that all have been put in place to ensure that the audit mission is successful.
